Boring Boring is an independent publishing and design project based in Venice.
The project operates at the intersection of independent publishing and object design, treating books and objects as complementary formats rather than separate disciplines. Each work is developed as a coherent system in which form, content, and physical structure are conceived together.
The focus is on interpretable objects and materials. Projects are intentionally open-ended, allowing multiple readings and uses over time. Rather than imposing a fixed meaning, the aim is to create structures that support interpretation, attention, and long-term engagement.
The practice is rooted in self-production and small editions. Concept development, writing, photography, layout, and physical production are handled as a single process, ensuring consistency across both content and form.
Instead of pursuing constant novelty, the project is interested in durability and relevance. It explores objects that may appear secondary or understated, examining how value can emerge through use, time, and context rather than immediate impact.
Being based in Venice informs an approach to materiality and temporality shaped by maintenance, fragility, and care. This context supports an interest in objects designed to be lived with, preserved, and reinterpreted rather than consumed quickly.
